The new tire labeling regulation, effective May 2021, is intended to provide consumers with more extensive information than ever before. To this end, the class of RR and WetGrip were rearranged, and the noise class were changed from sound wave symbol(s) to A/B/C characters. The QR code in the upper right corner also allows information on individual tires to be downloaded from the *EPREL database. There is also an indication of whether the Severe Snow Condition(Snow Grip Pictogram) or Ice Grip Index(Ice Grip Pictogram) is recognized. The new EU tire label is intended to allow consumers to choose more fuel-efficient tires and obtain information about the braking force at the same time. In addition helps reduce noise exposure in vehicles through information about pass by noise.
